I don't even remember. He did talk a good bit but just kept saying "Austin" and "Texas" a lot. He's always a bit awkward in a funny way when addressing the crowd.
My favorite was him singing BSB "I Want It That Way" during a break in A Perfect Circle's show in 2003 at Voodoo Fest.

Yeah he seemed awkward...but in an endearing way.
He did mention that they knew they wanted the tour to start in the desert.

James always seems awkward on stage, but 95% of the time it is hilarious. I'm curious what he will say about Houston tonight. It is damn hot here too, that's for sure.

Same in Austin. 8:15 start and encore was over just before 11:30.

At least you had a heads up how long the show would be.
I had no idea. I would look at my watch and be like "this must be their last song" feeling sad that I hadn't heard a certain song....and really they went on to play like 7 more after that(including the ones I was sad about potentially missing)

Went to the Dallas show last night & was really impressed. They put on a great show. I am a much bigger fan of them for the time period when Billy had hair(Gish & Siamese Dream) but this set list was as good as you could ask for(minus For Martha &
To Sheila) which really brought the room down. I was in heaven hearing Siva, Rhinoceros, & Drown in the first 30 minutes.
Dallas crowds tend to be the see & be seen type people & there was a lot of that but the die hards focusing on the music outnumbered them. I was interested to find out today that was Peter Hook's son playing bass on this tour. Amazing musicianship all around from everyone last night. Jimmy Chamberlin was as good as advertised. Even if you are a casual fan of the them I highly recommend seeing this tour.

Didn't know that song was a tribute to his mother. Makes the video sequence for that song with the dancer and the little boy in the top hat/tux make more sense now.
I saw a review from the Houston show where they were complaining the show was too long. What??! Crazy talk

I first heard this song on KLSU when I was in college. It blew me away and is still one of my favorite SP songs. It was awesome seeing it live.

I blame the insane ticket prices. They screwed up.

Ticket sales are weak for the whole tour.

Agreed. Could have had a lot more casual SP fans going and filling up seats if the prices were lower.
What sucks is all the ticket sites that use their bots to scoop up a bunch of seats the second that it goes on sale.
I was looking at the Vegas show in September just to see what tickets were left/prices in case I decided on a whim to go. Ticketmaster resale and the third party ticket sites are selling floor seats for at least $200-300 a piece(some as high as $1200 each). Even lower level for over $200.
And you know damn well...the arena it will be in is not gonna be sold out.

I could have got floor seats for half price on stubhub if I had waited. So dumb. I’m not buying nostalgia band tickets any more at big venues at face value. This is the third one in a row that I’ve seen similar things happen.

Great idea. If I decide to go to the Vegas show it will be last minute anyways...so who knows what the prices will be by then once they realize they won't sell all the tickets they bought up.
Thanks

We went to the Duluth, GA show last night I have to say it was an amazing concert. They played for 3+ hours non stop.

I was wearing my Mellon Collie shirt from the concert today picking up food from a salad place and the girl at the register says "I LOVE your shirt". Starts asking me if I went to the show and telling me how she wanted to go but couldn't.
She told me when SP came to AZ around 2012 she had tweeted to Billy about wanting to go to the show and he ended up actually putting her on the guestlist.
