2nd half of Caramel I really liked. First half, was fine but not something I just loved. The drum work on the whole song was quite excelent though. Whole song is a frustration with the fame/fandom and it plays out that way as it boils over at the end.

Emergence I'm still listening to constantly. Love it. I think it is a continuation of Ascensionism for this album.

New song is okay. Not as good as the other two.

Yea, emergence has been my favorite so far. Not a bad song, decent like mid-200's alt balad.

They do a lot of things, so there are bits and pices I think a ton of different type of music fans can find to enjoy. Somewhat if Deftones and Tool with a litle Meshuggah were influenced more by hip hop/classic R&B than grunge.

The new song is my fav of the new singles as I really enjoy the simplicity of the structure.

II's drumming at the end made it even more interesting to me

The instrumentals on all three have been really, really good. Tons of contrasting styles between the three. Drums and piano on this new one were excellent. Spot on description on its simplicity.

New Album is out. Haven't listened to all of it yet, but the first track, Look to Windward I loved. The simple guitar riff in the middle and end hit so well.

I listened to the first 8 or so tracks and got bored and switched to something else. The first track on the album is awesome. I like Emergence as well. I just find them good in small doses, but I can't just sit there and listen to them. The music gets so boring. I can't get into it.

I think their production is way too clean and shoegazey, which makes them sound less heavy than they really are.

Agreed.
If I had to choose between aSleep Token and something else, I’d put on something else.

Saw them Live. Nope. Just not feeling their music. Maybe because I'm 50 but I listen to everything & been playing guitar since 15. They look like Slipknot & Ghost had a cousin. Sound like Linkin Park & Evanescences cousin. Then again modern hip hop/mumble core is not my thing. I prefer heavy guitars downtuned with Mesa or 5150 sound.

I'm just messing, found it funny

I've had that happen more than a few times with songs where I really disliked something the first time I heard it and then after a few more times something clicked with it.

Don't like the new album at all. Only 2 or 3 songs on it I'll maybe listen to again. They released the best song first and it was all downhill from there.

I think Emergence, Look to Windward, Infinite Baths, and Even in Arcadia are all excellent.

Caramel, Dangerous, and Gethsemane all have parts I really like, but aren't consistent the whole song.

Yeah, im usually optimistic about new music from groups i like, but this album is a letdown.

Gods, Chokehold, The Summoning, Vore, The Apparition, Atlantic, Hypnosis, Alkaline are all absolute bangers. This album has none of that. I was really looking forward to it too.

ive listened to the album twice all the way through now and I love it

It exists clearly outside of the previous trilogy and it shows with how completely different the created soundscapes are even though structurally theyre still reflective of Sleep Token's style

havent done a super deep dive on lyrics yet but cant wait to
