some cool music coming to NOLA this fall.

if you're not familiar with sierra hull, and you dig bluegrass/country, she's awesome. ace mandolin player and she's got a great voice and some well done songs. highly recommend. $30

bobby is doing the symphony thing again this fall, two shows with the louisiana philharmonic at the saenger. i've not seen this arrangement yet but reviews from previous shows have been stellar. tix are a little steep but i dont miss chances to see my main main bob, plus its a good excuse to spend the weekend in the city when its not so hot

I just bought tickets for the BW & Wolf Bros. Sat night show. Definitely looking forward to Terrapin played with the symphony

edit: Sierra is definitely the real deal. Only 25 years old, she's been voted Madolin Player of the Year 5x's by her peers since 2016.
Here she is covering Tears for Fears: Mad World

I got 2nd row balcony, center stage for $79.00 + TTL; basically $100 per ticket.
10 rows back in the BALC were priced at $55 + TTL .... $75 each.
With the new & improved, re-done Saenger, acoustically speaking there's not a bad seat in the house.

Ive always wanted to see a “rock” show with an orchestra so Im stoked to finally making that happen.

great great show

amazing show, easy to see why she's won 10 International Bluegrass Music awards since 2010, and BEST mandolin player award in 6 out of the last 8 years. She is Fiya and the band is extremely tight.

And here on guitar and way young. Remember those frets are bit farther apart and she's still lightning fast.
