There's a pretty good reason that...

Can you imagine how often that happens to him though?

ETA: He actually returned to that exact same venue a couple years back where the infamous scene occurred and actually played a legit, non-ironic cover of it. It was kind of his way of apologizing for acting that way all those years ago.

I was at one of his shows years ago where he threw a tantrum and left the stage early. He was pissed that 2 or 3 girls in the front row were talking and not paying attention to the stage. Complete douche.

Saw him a few years later with the Cardinals and it was one of the better concerts I've been to. He's really good when he wants to be, but a complete junky prima donna.

And a couple more women have come out with similar stories since the article came out. Think we're now up to 8 women, and the FBI has opened a case against him for sexting with a minor. What an idiot.

Ryan Adams is one of my favorite artists ever but I’m not entirely shocked he seems to have issues.

I’m with you. I was really upset when I read the article, but certainly not the least bit surprised.

So is everyone agreeing with the accuser based on the article?

Just asking. I have not read the story and have no idea. Just wondering why everyone is believing this one

With all these things is mostly a "let them play out" thing in my mind because I'm not surprised when things like this are fake. But even us huge fans aren't lining up to defend his personal character either. Plenty of these accusations are real and he isn't someone that reaches all his fans on a personal level where we'll stand up for him without really knowing him. Because what we know isn't pretty.

As far as his live stuff, I've gotten lucky. Saw him with the Cardinals and he wasnt shitty, but far from putting out much effort. But great setlist and sounded great. Saw him at Jazzfest and he actually messed around and seemed interested (for him at least). Wonder if this means I wont have much more chance (or desire if the teen thing is real) to see him live again.

There are now 8 women that have come forward with their stories on Adams, so it's not just one accuser. They all have pretty much the same story, so yes I believe them.

I mean... there are evidently incriminating transcripts from text messages with an underage fan and the FBI is investigating.

So yeah, innocent until proven guilty, but this isn't just some random person making an unproveable accusation. In addition, there are quite a few corroborating stories of boorish behavior, but the worst one of inappropriate relations with a mintor is definitely the easiest to actually prove because there's real evidence that can be produced.

He is a highly talented, highly flawed individual. Now sober, and still cranking songs out, but too horny to collaborate with women, and he doesn’t take rejection well. Hope he didn’t do anything stupid enough to get arrested for.

Seems like a dick

But Even the article acknowledges the underage girl consistently lied about her age .

I’ll probanly still listen to him.

Just not send my daughter to make a record with him.

He’s probably an a-hole, but some of these women probably should have suspected their professional relationship would go south after they ended their romantic relationship.

I tend to go with 1 time telling a guy they are 14 being enough times

And I think you overstate what the article said

I think the article painted it in the worst light possible and stil couldn’t definitely say he knew she was underage.
