Is it just me or is this guy underrated. Certainly sounds like the Beatles compared to the current music scene.

Straight up, what did you hope to learn about here
If I were someone else, would this all fall apart
Strange, where were you, when we started this gig,
I wish the real world, would just stop hassling me

While you were sleeping, I was listening to the radio and wondering what you were dreaming, when, it came to mind, that I didn’t care.

Some of the album cuts are very underrated. I've always loved this line from 'Kody":

"If you've never heard the silence, it's a God awful sound"

He’s good but Matchbox 20 was at their best with their first couple albums. These albums had most of the songs and lyrics written by their guitarist. I like Rob Thomas’ voice but their lyrics and songwriting went significantly downhill when he took it over. Shame too because they were a damn good band out of the gate.

He seems very genuine. I watched a lot of interviews with him and it seems like he actually gives a damn which is pretty refreshing.

Matchbox 20 is one of my favorite bands of all time, but never had a chance to see them live. Wife bought me tickets for Valentine's Day to see them in the Woodlands in August! I'm pumped!

If you have a moment, go listen to them perform "Back 2 Good" on youtube - sounds even better than the studio version!
