I mean to each their own, while I dint think Trendkill was near the previous two records, I fricking hated Reinventing the Steel for some reason.

I agree. Trendkill is a badass groove meathook of an album. Death rattle, cast a shadow, it makes them disappear are all some of their better jams.

Trendkill wins on the merit of the Floods solo.

Both albums are overlooked, IMO. But I prefer Trendkill and it has one of the best album covers of all time.

Trendkill by far. Suicide note part 2 is my favorite song on it. War nerve floods, sandblasted skin are great also. Saw them twice on that tour. One with white zombie and other with machine head opening. 3rd row on right side with dimebag in front of me.

No contest.
Probably not, but not that big of a difference either way. Both are radically inferior to the 3 prior. Vulgar is almost as perfect as Countdown to Extinction and Master of Puppets.

Favorite song in RTS is Yesterday Don't Mean shite.

The Far Beyond Driven tour is when Phil began to get serious with the drugs & even OD'd after the Dallas show. This started the spiral with him & Dime/Vinnie. He actually recorded the vocals for GST in New Orleans while all the music was recorded in Pantego(near Arlington) at their studio. Phil just sent the tapes to them & they put it all together. Phil was in bad shape for GST & RTS & then you saw what happened with the breakup after that.

I my opinion I love both GST & RTS. They are way more extreme than Cowboys, Vulgar, & most of FBD. I think Vulgar is their best album but my actual favorite now over all these years is Reinventing the Steel. It is so great & underrated.

I'm going to go on the record and say that Dime's solo on 10's is severely underrated.
