Absolutely amazing performance. I’ll update with a set list when I find it.
Jazzfest was as awesome as ever this year. It’s nice to have live music back.
video removed due to copyright. The audio isn’t the best hopefully they have a better version coming.
ETA Set List:
Intro Jam
Can't Stop
Black Summer
Charlie
The Zephyr Song
Aquatic Mouth Dance
Snow ((Hey Oh))
Nobody Weird Like Me
Whatchu Thinkin'
If You Have to Ask
Tell Me Baby
Here Ever After
Californication
These Are the Ways
(preceded by "What Is Soul?" by Funkadelic tease)
Give It Away
Under the Bridge
By the Way

I was going to post this same thing. They were incredible and rhe sound was insane. You could feel the bass. Band was tight AF.
And Anthony Kiedis giving a shoutout to the Cajun Navy at the end lol. Amazing show.

They all were very obviously having an awesome time. Keidis gave the Cajun navy a shoutout. Chad gave a great tribute to FooFighters. Flea told everyone his pubes aren’t gray yet. John just looked so happy.
It was great to hear that band back together again. First time I’ve seen them with John since the 2006 Voodoo Performance and they sound just as good as they ever did.

Cajun Navy shoutout was great to hear. Wonder if he has some connection?
Great weekend at Jazzfest. So happy live music is back and to be in crowds without masking hysteria

Incredible show. I can’t believe they played nobody weird like me. All of the new songs sounded amazing live.
Charlie was probably the best one of the night.

Anyone see the kid walking around with the sign reading “Anthony kedis is a child rapist” sign? Backstory on this? Super weird.
Great show for sure.

The set was so physical. Not sure if that’s an indication of how the rest of the tour will be, or if they were trying to play to the Foo crowd.
Smith was absolutely ripping it from start to finish. With a lot of their radio-friendly songs of the last 20 years, it’s easy to forget that they started as a thrash/funk/punk band. It definitely showed yesterday.

Kiedis had a few happenings with underage girls way back in the 80s. One I think he didn’t know was underage until after the fact and the other was literally months (maybe days?) away from being of age. He was young too.
He’s been a recent target of metoo stuff for this. I’m guessing it will stick at some point. But I don’t really care. Times were different back then.

Dayam! I can honestly say that I won't listen to their music again.
That's really disheartening.

Link to the full show is up at YouTube. Doesn't do the show justice but still cool to see.

I don't know where on the age spectrum y'all are at, but I turned 50 in October.
I recognized like 5 songs on the list. The 3 from Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magic, and the one from Californication and Mother's Milk.
I lump them right in there with Pearl Jam. I saw Pearl Jam 4 times over about a three year period between Ten and Vitalogy and then after that I lost all interest in them.
I met Flea in the Dungeon after the Lolla show in NO around 92 or 93 and my sister actually met Keidas and Flea staying at the Prince Conti around 90 when they played the Saenger with Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins.

Im 43, you're missing out. By The way and Stadium are amazing albums. Nothing like Pearl Jam that went to shite after Abbruzzese left.
Edit to add Unlimited Love. I'm addicted to that album.

I couldn’t imagine seeing them now … gross. But the played the municipal with Pearl Jam and the pumpkins in 91 …. Not the Saenger

Truth.
Saenger was in '89 I think. Mother's Milk tour.
Show was stopped really early in by the Peppers due to some jacklegs refusing to stop climbing the pipe organ.

What does that mean?
I've only seen them once, back in 2017 and it was a great show. Can't wait to see them this tour.
On another note...remember when John rejoined the band the first time. He wouldn't play any of the stuff from One Hot Minute with Navarro on it. Since he rejoined, they haven't played anything from I'm With You or The Getaway...so I assume he has some hangup with playing material from when he wasn't in the band. I'm not complaining, but it'd be nice to hear something like Aeroplane live again. I got to hear it in 2017 because Josh was in the band.
