Decent album. As much as I love(d) this band, I can't help but be underwhelmed with the last two releases. When their first 4 albums were released, I played them nonstop for several weeks to months. The last two only get a few plays and then I get bored.

Yeah Mars Volta for sure fell off BIG TIME. I tried this last one and just couldn't get into it.

Very excited about Baroness new release today and will d/l when I get a second. I have their Blue and Red albums. I love stoner metal!

I just discovered(threw Pandora) a band called Xfactor1. They have this Nu Metal sound to them. It was unexpectendly good. Anyone heard it?

I may NOT have commented on all the albums, once time permits I shall give the ones I don't know a try on the ole' Youtube.

Thanks for posting everyone!

@TFTC... right off the bat your first link had me listening to more. Has a Neurosis feel and sound to it.

Great post I will for sure get this album. Album cover is pretty cool.

I didn't think so. I really only gave it one try though.
I don't know if it is the lineup changes or what but , they went from promisiing to just ordinary. Most people seem to feel that way. I think they should bring Flea and John Frusciante back on some of the songs. I also miss Jon Theodore.

Ditto on Japandroids, Cloud Nothings, and Dirty Projectors.

Also, Purity Ring - Shrines is insanely awesome.
