The beat reminds me of "I Touch Roses" so I have to give it some props based on its throwback vibe... but it's kinda one-dimensional.

6.5/10

Here's one from a few years back... wait 'til after the intro to judge the vocals. Again... falls in between "classifications" IMO. Just curious what y'all think...

I liked it. I would have rated it even higher except that I didn't like the middle part 2:10-2:50 (roughly) when she started doing her angry voice.

7/10

I would have given this a 10/10.

Very mellow. Not bad. The vocals and instrumental made me think of Beck.

I listened to it twice. After the first listen I was thinking 5, but the second time I enjoyed it much more, don't really know why.

I liked the lyrics overall but didn't really understand the chorus:

quote:

walk on the ocean
step on the stones
flesh becomes water
wood becomes bone

Continuing with the H20 theme,

This song had the potential to be great. And in fact it would have been great had they either ixnayed the chorus, or just done more with it. The music during the verses was incredible. The music during the chorus was something less than incredible.

I feel bands need editors, you know?

Anyway, I'm still gonna give it high marks. 8/10

Well, this isn't my genre, I'm not usually drawn to female vocals, and it generally takes a few listens for me to appreciate a song, but this one is so simple and accessible. It had me tapping my foot from the get go. 8/10

Certainly has Air's stank on it.

I liked it fine. Beck still has it but the relisten factor is low. 6.5 out 10
