What Ian Watkins did is horrendous, so I feel terrible every time I enjoy listening to “Last Train Home” which is still one of my favorite songs from the early 2000’s. It just makes me feel guilty enjoying something that was in-part made by such a monster, like I’m a monster because of it.

I don't feel like looking his name up right now. Will later. He's an unadulterated piece of feces

Have you thumbed through this thread? There are dudes described in here that will undoubtedly get v.i.p. seating in hell. I kind of doubt your lawsuit guy belongs lol

I don't recall asking for your opinion on my opinion.

Okay, I had never heard of Ian Watkins. That's a twisted dude.

Suge Knight certainly belongs in this conversation. I think he's been mentioned.

Human beings have been around for roughly 300,000 years. And for the first 299,880 -- give or take -- this was standard operating procedure among most cultures.

So, yeah, much greater atrocities have occurred.

I think Joe Jackson was a worse human being than Michael Jackson.

I dont know what cro magnon people did, but id imagine in the mid 50s it was still pretty nasty to marry a middle schooler whose favorite hobbies were jump rope and dolls

But thanks for your thoughts on the matter

You’re able to detach yourself more than me. Start Something was one of my favorite albums to listen to in high school and a very strong one even as I aged. I can not listen to the music. I’ve tried because of just how much I liked that album, and I just can’t. It’s part of why I think That’s The Spirit from BMTH is so special to me. It’s like they filled that gap in pop metal/hard rock that was emptied in 2013. The sad part is the live show at HoB when I was in HS after the release of Start Something is still one of the best live shows I’ve attended to this day.

In an ironic twist, Ian lost his wedding ring at that show in the crowd. Stopped, asked if anyone had seen it. Crowd looked, found it, and gave it back. Bizarre and I’ve never been in a situation where the crowd was in a position of trust like that. Person shoulda kept a-hole’s ring in hindsight.

Jerry lee was born in 1935

It was 1955 when he was 20

1955 is considered by some to be the "mid 50s"

At which point he married and presumably did sex with a 13yr old

Feel free to address specific math errors nasty man

I still have that album. I listen to it, and it still sounds great, but I feel like shite for enjoying it. It's like that feeling you get when you watch someone get hurt in a funny way in real life, and you're laughing, but then you realize they're actually seriously injured and probably scarred for life.

Terry Knight manager of Grand Funk Railroad. The guys in the band were only 20-21 years old with no business or legal knowledge so he signed them to a contract that took most of the money they made, and also got them in trouble with the IRS.

But again, Karma has no expiration date, Knight died about 15 years ago after being stabbed by his daughter's boyfriend.

Robbie Robertson and its not even close. That a-hole was ruthless about song writing credits and watched his bandmates die in poverty and he's banging some 20 year old model in his seasonal residence $15 million log cabin in NorCal. One of pop culture's greatest douchebags of the 20th century.
