Which front man?
I wish I knew about this before now...it's an 80 mile haul from N.O.
Rage for Order is is one of my all time go-to rock albums...and the recording/engineering on it is flawless.

todd la torre. they have 3/5 founding members, and degarmo's replacement is good. todd can hit the notes, just doesnt have the same gusto as tate. he is definitely good enough though.
saw em with tate in 2012. one of the best shows ive ever been to

It's a shame they had such a nasty split. I think the name of Tate's band is Operation Mindcrime or Mindcrime.

Saw them Tuesday night in Columbia. La Torre was flawless. Incredible range. Comparable to 1970's Ian Gillam. The whole band slayed it.

they were so good last night that im probably gonna go see them at Coushatta tomorrow. La Torre was way better than I anticipated. the sound guy dropped the ball on a few songs, but it was a great show with lots of classics. the new songs were just okay though. would've preferred more mindcrime and promised land

They are legally not allowed to play all of Mindcrime. They can play a few songs but only Geoff Tate is allowed to play all of it.

i think tate is the one thats restricted. he can ONLY play stuff from Mindcrime. they played Operation Mindcrime, Mission, Eyes of a Stranger, which is fine, I just wanted Breaking the Silence and I dont believe in love. There are videos of them playing the other songs all over youtube. I think Geoff is the only one that has any kind of restriction. he cant play anything thats not on mindcrime
Queensryche may not be able to perform Mindcrime in its entirety, but theyd never do that these days anyway
