Prince song 7 is sheer genius

Unabashed Prince fan here. Was just scrolling through some of my favorites and played “7”. Tune from the symbol album. In my top 10 all time Prince songs. Interested to see what non Prince freaks think about this song.

Was the first Prince song that caught my attention. I also loved “Most beautiful girl in the world” for a bit there - some NOLA radio station used to play it every morning on my commute to school

Just incredible how many different "sounds" he created. Very rarely could you say it sounds like something done previously. The goat imo.
