I linked it back on page 1. I agree with you. I'm not a huge Oingo Boingo fan but that song is great. The chorus has a hook that I can't resist. I also agree with you that it's not really new wave.

Agreed, admittedly just pop music wearing post NW/synth hair and makeup. Probably should've posted a Wendy Williams/Plasmatics or Josie Cotton tune. But, as noted in other folks posts, not all New Wave was between 1978-1982, nor all of it Marquee Moon-esque in originality or tone. The genre is painted with a broad stroke.
