Scritti Politti - Perfect Way

Used to hear this all the time in Cillys(?) the bar across the street from SI and Fred's back in the mid 1980s.

and this still sends chills down my back

Let's Active - In Little Ways

and this might be the best TMBG song that flew under the radar

TMBG - Ana Ng

and its hard to pick one song because the whole album CRUSH was a masterpiece

OMD - Native Daughters of the Golden West

At 2:58 in he holds that note for a solid 20 seconds

and I have to pimp this acid/club track because it epitomizes/encapsulates the late 1980s club scene perfectly

Poesie Noire - Pity For the Self

Its just....PERFECT

Martha and the Muffins - Echo Beach

Great song and band. Swimming was also one of my favorites of theirs.

make fun of me all you want, but this song was my absolute favorite for several years in the early 80s.

Colourbox - Arena

Its very period-specific but it still moves me in a way I can't explain.

That's the great thing about music, its personal...individual. Might be the music, maybe the lyrics,or it could just be a fond memory. If we like it, it's not necessary to explain it to others who don't because they can't understand.

That applies to any art form and is the essence of art in my opinion. If it makes you feel something, it's good art even if what you feel is different from what someone else feels.

Yep, art is highly subjective which is the main reason "music snobs" are full of shite

"Give It Up" - Steve Miller Band

The follow-up single to Abracadabra that sounds a hell of lot like Love & Affection by Nelson in spots.

Possibly the best album that year. Their cover of suspicious mind is wonderful.
