Can't Get There from Here - REM

It didn't do much for me back then but now between the bass (especially) and the horns I've been wearing it out the last couple of months.

Catholic Boy is one of the best debut albums in the rock era. The opening riff and first two lines of "It's Too Late" alone make it worth adding to your collection

Funny story, one of the musicians I hung with in Starkville in the early 90s worked in a record store. Once he played me a cut from JC's spoken word recording Praying Mantis and I mentioned how good his music was - my friend said "wait, he makes music too?"

Well, to me this meets the criteria for the most part...from the 80's, was highly played at the time and has since disappeared for the most part.

The Dream Academy: Life in a Northern Town

As well as several of this guys songs...but probably this one the most.

Man, I love that song. "Peaches" is another good one by them.
