Hopefully after their 2016 European tour, Nickelback will return to the states and put out a 2017 tour and possibly a new album. One of my favorite bands of all time love their music. All The Right Reasons from 2005 is probably one of the definitive albums of the genre. I still listen to it. Anyway, we need a Tigerdroppings group if they swing through the South. I know Marciano1 is a big fan as well and he's all in.

Who else can we count on?

What do you think a Nickelback show is like live?

Standing first row and soaking in Kroger for 2 hours...

How long before internet hipsters decide it's "cool" to like Nickelback ironically?

I never took the red pill in the hate nickelback movement. Their first album wasn't terrible. I'm sure they're fine musicians that sold out super hard and can't get away from that sound anymore. I'll play some dumb easy cheesy gay shite for 10k a show.

Sort of how I feel now The hate was funny at first, but at this point its just over the top.

This Rolling Stone review of them sums it up nicely

quote:

It's hard not to feel a little bad for Nickelback. Sure, they aren't the greatest band in the world, but people act like they make Nazi folk music or something. "Rock & roll is dying because people became OK with Nickelback being the biggest band in the world," Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney told Rolling Stone last year. "So they became OK with the idea that the biggest rock band in the world is always going to be shite." The band is so sick of comments like Carney's that they actually turn down most interview requests. They know half the questions will be about everyone hating them. And the haters seem to be winning, because their last album wasn't nearly as big as the previous ones. They still sell a lot of concert tickets, though, and will probably have the last laugh when they're still hugely successful 10 years from now.

I could listen to Nickelback for a lot longer than I could listen to bro country. So that's something.

I have heard a hell of a lot worse than Nickelback. Warrant, Winger and Autograph come to mind. I loathe some of those Eighties metal bands. Pure shite.
