Its music though, everyone has different tastes in what they like. Arguing over what is better is ridiculous

Oasis - Wonderwall
WTF? Like this is some super great song? I'm trying to figure out how it's anything other than another pop song in the Lennon/McCartney mold anyway.

Or is this just the latest "I don't like the Beatles" thread? Look at me!! I'm young!!

To the contrary, it's all an extrapolation from the latest "why don't you like the beatles? I realize that this thread isn't even about the beatles, but they're the best 'cause I'm old and I say so, and so they better get mentioned by god" post.

You realize it's not just "old people" who think The Beatles are better than Oasis, right? I hope that reference wasn't pointed towards me because I'm more than likely younger than you.

I'm old and The Beatles are an instant channel changer. Thankfully, Sirius almost never plays them.

This could be the worst thread in the short history of music board threads. Congrats on being so awful.

I'm 33. The only person that I know personally who likes the Beatles -- like actively listens to them -- is one of my oldest brother's friends. So he's probably 42.

And with respect to the above, keep in mind that:
a) I'm by no means reclusive. I'm more like the antithesis of a recluse. So, without sounding like a dick, I've met lots and lots of people throughout my 33 year journey on Earth. And,
b) I love talking about music.

People don't like the beatles. The band never gets brought up. Nobody puts them on a playlist. You won't hear one their songs at a party. This conclusion is supported by what I believe to be a more than sufficient sample size.

Wow. How retarded are you? They're never get brought up? They're not on ANYBODY's playlist?

What the frick does the fact that you don't hear them at parties have to do with anything? Their songs weren't made for parties, genius. I've never heard a Oasis song at a party.

Let me get this straight. Are you saying that the frequency with which people listen to the music put out by a particular band is wholly unrelated to the question of whether said band is any good?

'Cause I'm pretty sure that's what you're saying, but that's a really really stupid thing to say, so I want to make doubly sure.
