If it wasn't already obvious you were trolling, I think it is now. You have a better chance in arguing with dog shite than a music snob.

Real music snobs dismiss The Beatles as musically average.

You must be some kind of half-arse music snob.

The Beatles' technical musicianship and singing ability isnt what made them famous.

But like I said, you're a music snob. I can't win this argument. After all, you think a boyband song (that wasn't even written by the guys who performed it) whose lyrics make just as much since as a penguin wearing a sombrero driving backwards on a lawnmower is better than anything than Strawberry Fields, A Day in the Life, Rain, Let It Be, the Abbey Road medley.

Up against all other Beatles songs I would choose Wonderwall. BUT Rocky Raccoon smashes it to little limey pieces.

(1)
Strawberry Fields,

(2)
A Day in the Life,

(3)
Rain,

(4)
Let It Be,

(5)
the Abbey Road medley

1-5: good songs. But never once in my life have I had the inclination to press the repeat-1 button.

I want it that way: Great pop song by a terrible boy band. I have no idea where it came from, or why it is so much better than everything else that band did, but it's a great song -- and it should be clear by now that I'm not ashamed to admit this -- and I put it on repeat for hours and hours. I may listen to it right now.

End of analysis.

Your thoughts on the original question?*

*FWIW, I think CS vs. Wonderwall is a close call, but I'll go with Wonderwall.

I agree. The Beatles are the greatest group ever. Why isn't everybody going with one of their songs? Just ridiculous.

I think before the end of this thread I will have gone on record at least 29 times publicly memorializing my opiniion that The Beatles never made a song as good as "I want it that way", and that I don't even think it's a particularly close call.

Or just bookmark this post.

Yup, and every member except John has a better solo song than all the Beatles song.

Traveling Wilbury's?

Can't really call that solo, but they do have a song I consider to be better than any Beatles song.
