Picked up a new acoustic this weekend

I had a Martin D28 that I've ended up with through some trading but just wasn't getting the bassy response I wanted for bluegrass so I moved it over the weekend through a trade.
Ended up with this Williford custom acoustic, Williford is a small builder (dude basically hand builds these in his shop) and has produced around 30 guitars and this is #9. It is built somewhat in the style of a prewar D28.
It has an Adirondack spruce top along with herringbone purfling and solid Brazilian rosewood back and sides with all hide glue construction which is basically the holy grail in this area of dreadnought acoustics.
It also has a hand rubbed satin varnish which I prefer over a gloss.
Construction is solid but obviously a little rough as it was only his 9th guitar build but I think it adds character.
It plays great and is a true bluegrass cannon.

That's a beautiful axe. Nothing beats Brazilian. I'm curious what's under the inlay in the bridge.

Very nice. But if you’re looking for more character I got my build number one ready for trade. Straight up.
000-28 style though. I shaved and sanded the top to within an inch of its life. Very responsive. Lol
