Saw PJ last night for the first time. I ended up scoring a free seat at the last minute from a buddy.

I have always been a casual fan, but man, they put on a great show. I was reluctant to go on a work night, but glad I did.

I will definitely attend again.

Good thing you aren't one of the NC fans that got screwed over by them, or even worse one of the fans that had a trip planned to see them. frick PJ

No doubt, I actually didn't want to go because of this. But I ended up with a free ticket. I disagree with EV on a lot of things, but those guys put on a great show.

Also, he tried to explain why he cancelled on Raleigh, and actually got boo-ed

I was impressed that the fans were able to voice their displeasure, and at the same time - have a good time and enjoy the show.

Good. This makes me happy. They are a great band, and I was trying to make it work to see them at JF this weekend. After that bullshite move I decided I had no interest.

Man it was a great show!! If you can't separate your politics from entertainment that's crazy, especially knowing PJ is a liberal band and you know he will discuss slightly at their show. Great show!!!

Springsteen caused this. PJ may have done it regardless, but Springsteen doing it guaranteed they would. I am glad they got booed. All you did was deprive your fans of a show. This ain't Ray Charles refusing to play Jim Crow south.

I saw them in Texas November 2013. In Dallas. I can't even remember what shooting had just happened. I thought Vedder would say something. He really did not. Had let the music talk for him. They played Jeremy, and he made the point that the story from which he got the story was a Richardson Texas kid. But that's about it. Made a point of "can't we find something to agree on so this happens less" something like that. Made it a nice moment. They could have played the show and made comments about the law they disagree with. Win win.

Trannys pissing locations will not be a watershed moment in 20 years like the civil rights movement.

They are and always have been SJW pussies (remember when EV wore that coat hanger pro-choice T-shirt on SNL in 1995 or whatever) but frick they sure do rock out like a mofo

I wish some artists would take this stance and keep some of the politics out of music. I know sometimes politics/social issues can make for great songs (Jeremy, Gimme Shelter, Fortunate Son, etc) but I don't go to shows to get a lesson or preached to about stuff - don't give a F if it's Springsteen, Nugent, Hank Jr, whomever. I go to be entertained.

Feel bad for the people who made plans to go to the NC PJ show and especially those who had travel plans. I've had travel plans to see PJ before and I'd be mad as hell if they cancelled a show because of bathroom shite
