Pam Tillis is so good

Heard The River and the Highway on the radio earlier today for the first time in forever and had forgotten what a gem that song is. Pam has so many great ones. She is wonderful.

She was okay. I liked Maybe It Was Memphis, but that was about it. I recently got back into Suzy Boggus. Much better singing voice from that era of country music. Aces is a fantastic song. She does a weekly Facebook Live thing where she gets drunk on wine and sings songs and tell stories. She seems like a fun girl.

I like Suzy too. I think they both have great voices. Tanya Tucker was another one I loved. Vocally, she was like the Stevie Nicks of country music.

IIRC, Pam had a bad auto accident and had to have her face rebuilt.

I think that’s right. She was in some type of accident. A local radio host got in hot water for saying something about her looks. Something about ponies running all over her ugly face while introducing her Let That Pony Run song. Pretty sure he was fired over it.

I’ve always thought she was great.
If I remember correctly, 2 years in a row Tracy Lawrence canceled his concert in my hometown on very short notice. Both years, Pam Tillis stepped in for him and put on a damn good show.
