Think Ryan Bingham is also on the bill.
Looks like a good time.

One negative of Houston. The Woodlands.

Shadeless hillside in July in Houston? It’s a great venue but it is it’s enjoyment can be weather specific.

I've been to countless Summer concerts there, it's not that big a deal. It's Summer.

I spent a full day in the blazing Sun at Luckenbach for one of Willie's 4th of July picnics. Worth it. This won't be on the same scale, but I saw a great concert at the Woodlands one Summer with Willie, Dwight Yoakam, and some other supporting artists. Was a great day.

I'm going to that show in Dallas because Ive never seen Willie and I'm not sure how much longer he will be kicking.

So am I. Have to alternate pure water with the booze some for an outdoor concert these days. Woodlands isn't my favorite but might do it for this concert.

Zappa mentioned wanting to see Willie one time before he dies. For me, it's more about wanting to see Willie one last time, no matter how many last times there are.

Yeah, that's the negative.

I am lucky enough to have tickets to all shows at the Pavillion. I'd typically not rush to the ticket office for a show like this, but since it doesn't cost anything, I will probably check it out. The evening shows are pretty comfortable on the lawn...even in July.

If it's not during the day, probably won't be bad. There are big fans in the seating area and the lawn is always much cooler than you would expect (usually a nice breeze).
