Can anyone recommend some artists or albums I might be able to purchase on Itunes?
I really enjoy some of the older stuff you can find on KRVS(public radio)in Lafayette. I've purchased some newer stuff from Lost Bayou Ramblers and a few others, but I'm looking for that raw sound from old recordings and I'm not sure where to start looking.

Try Buckwheat Zydeco, Beau Jocque & the Zydeco Hi-Rollers, and Lil Buck Sinegal (went to HS with his grandson).

My folks had his 8-track when I was a kid. It may totally suck to all above mentioned. But it is a vivid memory of childhood during car rides back to the motherland.
