Eh, phishs songs aren't any better than biscos in terms of writing writing really. Pretty pathetic argument you got there.
The fact that they jam out of the bad songs makes them awesome. Phish bad songs like lawn boy or possum don't have any jam outside of the cookie cutter. It's a chore to sit through their first sets just to get that second set ghost or YEM which is also usually pretty cookie cutter.
75% of the songs phish plays in any given show are awful

The fact that you think Phish's songs suck, and tDB's don't is eye raising to me Burt. I mean I can admit Phish's songs aren't like life changing moments of music, but they're good for a jam band.
And let's just cut to the chase, all jam band songs suck. All of them. Every single one.

It's the difference maker for me. The jam is all that matters and phish can't even do that per possum or grind. It's just another shitty song in their already bad set lists.
