First and only time I ever saw Ozzy was at City Park Stadium in NOLA in '82 or something. He had just shaved his head the night before or the day of the gig or something and he came out with the wig on. He threw the wig to the audience and we were all, like, WTF is going on here? Plus we missed Randy Rhodes as he had died not too recently before this show so we got Brad Gillis instead. All in all it was a great show except for the miserable all day drizzle...

Anybody else take the time to decode the messaging on the front, middle and back of the Speak of the Devil album, or am I the only Ozzy nerd that had the time and patience(stoned) to do it?

I can’t say that I did. I love that you did though. What did you come up with?

Yes I remember the photos from that show very well. I seem to remember some kind of Indian headdress too if I’m not mistaken. Very possible that I am though. I was never aware that it was an all day drizzle. Thanks for the post.

Yes, I stared at that album cover (as well as all my others) mesmerized for hours and hours.
I don’t think I decoded anything that made any kind of sense.

1986 - Ultimate Sin UNO LF Arena
1999 - BS Reunion Tour Summit in HOU

The first and last for me.
In 86, I was more in awe of Cliff Burton....thought his head was going to come off because he was banging his head so hard.
The 99 Sabbath reunion in the Summitt was lights out! With Deftones and Pantera. That shite was unreal.

It was the most annoying thing. You could NOT get dry. Like being water boarded at a rock concert. I think. I just know it seemed like it lasted the whole day. 4 bands. I'm wanting to say that Leroux was one of them and Loverboy was another, but I can't remember the 4th. I know Foghat played either that year with them or came the next, but I can't be sure.

“Mesmerized”. So that’s what we’re calling it eh?

What a treat it was watching him play! So damn tragic that he was dead just a few short months later. But yes, that is the one Ozzy show for which my first comment to other people is about the opening act and that is “I saw Metallica with Cliff!”

I have no doubt! What a fricking lineup.

Lol. Yes, I’ve been outed by family members who read this board. Anonymity gone. Was ‘mesmerized’ alot back in the day.

It makes me sad that music like his and other rock of his time will never be created again

Those who got to see Ozzy, Motley Crue, etc live in their prime were truly lucky. Not to mention Metallica in Moscow which was probably the most badass moment in music history

Saw him once in KC, fortunately immortalized for the live VHS. Also saw Iron Maiden at Long Beach, also captured for the live VHS.

I loved this so much because I saw them in Biloxi and NOLA on that tour and for weeks afterward I repeated to myself “Scream for me Biloxi!” and “Scream for me New Orleans!”.

Then I got this album and heard him yelling it to Long Beach.
