Than Cream.

Had they somehow continued, WOW.

I wormhole on all three members, and reflect upon their genius and inventiveness (collectively).

BIGGER than

Beatles
Stones

Zeppelin

Their candles burn out in comparison. Both great bands, great. Not that spine tingle accompanied by sheer admiration and wonderment.

Zep, some spine tingle, Floyd, constant wonderment and much admiration.

Common sense typically doesn't recognize metrics.

When Clapton was about 45 years old he said if Cream had continued they would have been playing oldies shows at clubs an Casinos for the last 20 years instead of creating and releasing new music. In other words he believed that when they ended it their creativity had already peaked, and the band was on a downward spiral.

Right. The Beatles were certainly at their best when 45. FFS

Overrated AF.

Crap singing.
They sound like a jam band 90% of the time.
3 of the best musicians but the "magic" never happened.
Play a riff over and over...…..noodle around pentatonically for 20 minutes = Creem

They only had three members. There are plenty of bigger bands with four or more members.

If you mean bigger in the porcine sense, they were fairly skinny guys. Blues Traveler is a bigger band based on John Hopper alone, maybe even after his surgery.

The Beatles are the standard against which all others are judged...50 years later.

Cream was a great band but I don’t even consider that era of Clapton his best. His playing during the beano album prior to cream was some of the angriest yet finest blues guitar playing ever. Just my opinion though

What?

Go play Crossroads (guitar, bass, or drums) and see what you think. Have fun.
