You and I have different ideas of fun and humor. The only band I like that those words work for, for me, is They Might be Giants, and they are basically a novelty act.

You must really hate Fleetwood Mac and Steely Dan.

I'm indifferent to Fleetwood Mac but I actually like Steely Dan, even though I'm not a huge fan.

The funny thing about They Might Be Giants is a lot of their work is actually pretty depressing, when you just look at the lyrics. And they are nowhere near a novelty act. TMBG are brilliant.
