Nah. My perspective is fine. I actually liked them in high school. But I grew tired of them well before it was popular to hate them. I’m old enough to know what I like, And it ain’t this.

What I’m saying is, if nickelback took their name off this song, and had another guy sing the exact same thing with the exact same notes, there’s people who “hate it” that would think it “kicks arse”

You are right. Welcome to state of mind.

Applies to wine connoisseurs, brand people, hell even WWE fans.

I don’t really enjoy this style of music but I don’t really understand how someone who does wouldn’t like it. Simply because it’s nickelback? Recording is good, instrumentation is solid, recognizable vocals. Other than the fact I don’t enjoy this genre, it’s overall good.

I think this video and song encapsulate why Nickleback became uncool. Everything about is so cheesy.

Make fun all you want but the wife and i went to Nickelback at Rock the Country in Livingston a couple years ago and had an absolute blast. Admittedly, i am pretty simple minded when it comes to music and i find the early 2000s dad rock entertaining and nostalgic.

Movies are the entertainment media im most pretentious about

I'm not making fun at all, I like and appreciate Nickelback. They get maligned by the hipsters, the douchebags, and the pretentious as "bro rock" or whatever but that's a bunch of asshattery. They're a rock band, straighforward, frick it, let's party. Nothing wrong with being the biggest rock band in the world for awhile.

Zero authenticity with this band, they just mimic styles.
