I don’t really enjoy this style of music but I don’t really understand how someone who does wouldn’t like it. Simply because it’s nickelback? Recording is good, instrumentation is solid, recognizable vocals. Other than the fact I don’t enjoy this genre, it’s overall good.

None of the bolded things automatically make music "overall good." Obviously, "good" is in the eye of the beholder, so if it sounds good to you, then have at it. But to me, there is a lot more that I listen for.
I just don't find their music all that interesting. It's corny rock...like bro country's version of rock...bro rock.

Nothing makes music “overall good” barring being competent somewhat on an instrument. Obviously it’s all subjective. What I’m saying is, if nickelback took their name off this song, and had another guy sing the exact same thing with the exact same notes, there’s people who “hate it” that would think it “kicks arse”

That doesn't make the music good. It just means that there are lots of people who don't care to think for themselves. But I see what you are saying. More people would find it "good" if it didn't have the Nickelback name associated with it.

Again, nothing makes music good or bad because it’s subjective art.
But yes that’s generally what I’m saying. Nickelback had songs that I don’t think are god awful. However it’s very in fashion to hate on them. I don’t like them I think they’re maybe a step above imagine dragons, but I never took the blue pill on the hate for them I guess.

Yes, like Rock Star and some of their other cheesy songs. This song is a completely different genre. This is more of a metal song. I like it.

What's wrong with having a few beers at a Nickelback gig? Go see Robert Fripp or some other odd time signature shite, there ain't no chicks there. And plenty of their music is heavy rock/metal when you get away from the radio hits.

LINK this was a collab with the band Don Broco that came out a few months ago. A totally different style song, but I love it. Takes about 54 seconds until Nickelback comes in.

Thanks for the proper link...I still have to figure that out on my phone. I was listening to President and the algorithm started adding in Don Broco songs and I did a deep dive on them. I liked their stuff

I'm about four songs into this Nightmare Trippin' album on Youtube. Pretty good record so far.
