New Orleans locals - Need help identifying local funk band

Saw a great funk/blues/cover act during Mardi Gras at Sing Sing on Bourbon and didn't catch their name.. Five piece group of older black guys (doesn't really narrow it down too much, I know). Guitar, bass, keys, drums and singer. Guitar player had dreads and resembled Nile Rodgers. Any leads would be appreciated. Set included a lot of mo-town covers, and a Purple Rain cover that the guitar player absolutely went off on.

Been searching the internet, haven't found them. I Guess calling would be logical. And yes, they were the last thing I remember before waking up on my buddy's floor

Let us know if you find out who it is. Im looking for some late night shows to hit up after jazzfest and this sounds perfect.

Take the Date of the Night you saw them and the name of the Bar. Then go to WWOZ livewire calendar to see if its listed.

Damn, thought I had em for a second. Sing Sing wasn't listed for Saturday March 1 though.

WWOZ usually comes through for me. Maybe try Gambit's website. I know the physical copy of Gambit usually lists all of the music shows for about a two week period, so maybe there's something similar on their website.

Surprising, usually wwoz is all over those cover bands playing those bourbon hot spots.

wwoz lets the musicians post those dates so if they aren't on there it's their fault
