If my memory serves me right, which usually it doesn't, I could swear I read somewhere within the last month or two that Tool was working on an album. Or was I just dreaming about reading something like that?

2013 is shaping up to be a banner year for releases by some of my favorite bands. Very unexpected news from NIN.

Tool has been "working" on a new album for about 4 years now. They are slow. There isn't anything expected this year. Possibly next year. It's the same story every year.

Amazing live. Visuals are top notch for a band. I would go as far as to say they might even be on par with Tool's visuals.

"The Perfect Drug" was like getting told "no" the second you're about to give her the goods. Instead of an album, we got a single.
I finally saw them on tour in 2006.
I did not care for the last album they put out. Sounds change, but their first three albums (not counting "Fixed" and all of the other Halos) are enough for me to always be a fan; just am not a fan of the new stuff.
Now, I am not interested in watching what must be a 45-48 year old Reznor doing much.

I will say, however, that Atticus Ross is a very talented producer. As is Trent.

NIN just announced a new song coming out tomorrow. I'm guessing it's the single from the new album. Who knows which direction Trent will go this time.
