Similar style and time period, but no. You’re thinking of Limp Bizkit. Linkin Park is less creatively bankrupt, more metal influenced, and while they do some rapping, it’s a very different vibe.

the drummer for RATM should be in another band . He is playing below his paygrade in RATM . Also, the guitarist is WAY overrated .Just cool effects thats it .Bassist is solid and the lead singer is average at best ...

i only listen to the other 10% . ... Most hardcore is not lib ...Agnostic Front ..Hatebreed ... etc... most white power groups as well seem to be conservative AND dont throw it in peoples faces like the liberal fricks like Roger Watters .

Is this a joke post? I mean, I sorry if it is, but... Duh white power groups tend to be conservative. And they absolutely do throw it in people's faces. They don't become known as freaking white power groups by being subtle.
The vast majority of hardcore is absolutely liberal, as it's born from a genre that's always been associated with radical left politics. It's kind of hard to scream "Frick they system" when you believe in the right wing system. And, uh, you might want to Google hatebreed again. Look up how agnostic front feel about police.

ummm no hatebreed is not "literally" a white power group,,,most white power groups are like Skrewdriver and No Remorse from England dude . And they are mainly anti-communism groups .they do not hate minoroities ...rather they speak out against idelologies .

Their first album came out right at the peak of the nu-metal hype and they were miles better than Limp Bizkit and far more marketable than Korn. Also had heaps of praise by critics and became one of most played bands by MTV. There's a reason why their first album went diamond.
Aside from that they also grew out of their nu-mental sound and went into different genres of rock which gave them a wider audience and fresher sound.
