Snoop doesn't take himself seriously. Neither does Afroman.

Bruh y’all some boomers defending 50 year old millionaires that rap about living in the ghetto and being harassed by cops while their guitarist plays power chords through a line 6 amp on insane mode through a wah pedal

lmfao im not defending anyone, i could care less who you like musically. all i am saying is RATM has always been extremely political, so saying they shouldnt be "political" is kind of like saying they should just go away, bc thats their whole schtick.

Do i think RATM are sellouts? yeah sure but i still like some of their music

but I love the way Don Henley explains that the chord progression that Don Felder came up with for Hotel California was anything but the essence of the entire song.

But, even this is bullshite. Felder recorded a demo of the entire fricking song (sans lyrics) at his house. All of it. 100% of the music, including his solo. The only things that changed when they recorded it as a band were:

1. They changed the key (so Henley could sing it) (Arrangement, not songwriting)
2. They added Frey/Henley lyrics
3. Joe added his solo/riff parts (Arrangement not songwriting)
4. Other arrangement/production items (effects, drums, etc.)

The evidence that Frey and Henley had nothing to do with the musical composition (they did produce fantastic lyrics, to be fair and they were great songwriters, generally)? When they went to record it, Felder and Walsh started to horse around and improvise. Henley and Frey insisted they play it exactly as it was on Felder's demo tape (which he still has) and he had to get his housekeeper to play it over the phone because they were on the opposite coast from his house and it had been months since Felder and Walsh listened to it.

Dave Matthews Band and dipshit music pretender Dave Matthews Band fans

anyone saying "Nirvana took themselves too seriously" needs to be put in jail for one month, no less than one month

Complete fakes include anyone out of Nashville in the 21st century except for Jamie Johnson, i.e., anyone who's not Red Dirt Country - I love almost all Red Dirt country

if you're an Eric Church fan, you should go to jail for one month. Eric Church fans, check your man card. You're fricking gay.

Neil Young was brilliant back in his Folk heyday, but when he acts like a rockstar in later performances, he's the biggest douchebag on the planet, besides Tom Morello

Govt Mule. Just admit you're a cover band and move on. Stop acting like a main event.

Iron Maiden fans should go to jail for one month. Iron Maiden always sucked, and their music will always be some of the worst shite ever contrived. Black Sabbath were geniuses. Comparing Iron Maiden to Black Sabbath is like comparing Shania Twain to Willie Nelson.

I compartmentalize and separate U2 music from Bono. I love U2 music. When Bono is anti-war, I agree with him. When he's just being a douche, I don't. I don't what Bono says that much and I don'nt blame it on Edge and the boys.

Drive By Truckers have some world class instrumental arrangements. Some of their lyrics are cringe as hell. I'm a fan, but shut the frick up sometimes. cc Isbell

rap. Lawd

50-something white guy chatted me up on Rap music 2-3 weeks ago. I smiled and nodded.

50+ 60+ white women, who've never met a black person in their lives except some senior VP, love driving everyone to lunch and impressing us all by cranking rap shite on the way down the road

Why do you care? Do you like the music or not? Can you watch a movie and not care if the actor is hard to work with? Was Van Gogh gay and moody? You are not looking to date one of them?

In all fairness, he probably was.
