This is the first band that came to mind for me. I really like about half of their stuff and the other half I can hardly listen to, but they are an indie critic's wet dream.
I'm kinda that way with Radiohead, but it's more 75% really like, 25% can hardly listen to.

Maybe it's just me being lazy and not listening to more, but while I love Cut Your Hair, I really don't like anything else from them.
