Solid show. Played their asses off. In true New Orleans fashion, we got a House of the Rising Sun and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Not a huge fan, before or after, but they put on a damn good show.
this for me exactly. I only recognized 1 song but I really enjoyed the show. That lead singer can do it all. He was awesome to watch.

people who don't think they put on a solid show haven't seen them. you don't have to love their music to enjoy the show.

Just got back form the show, nice crowd and venue and great set list, house of the rising sun and preservation hall band was a surprise. I do think Railroad Revival Fest was better then this show, Im sure it has something to do with opening acts and that being their last stop for the fest.

Great show regardless of what the haters will say. First time seeing them and they did not disappoint. As others have mentioned, it was great to see the Preservation Hall band come out and M&S play House of the Rising Sun.

Mumford played with Glen David Andrews at dba after the show. Now that is legit.

Dang, how was that?
Mumford show was pretty impressive. Venue was okay, but would be about perfect in the Fall or Spring...if we even have those here.

I was at the Glenn David Andrews show last night at dba. Not overly familiar with Mumford, but some of their band members (hell, could have been all of them) did play a few songs with GDA last night. Was very good.

the GDA shows at DBA are always good times. debated going down there when i heard it would be happening but decided not to after a long day.
was it packed?

I was in the front, so its hard for me to say. Appeared to be a typical Monday night crowd for GDA - which, is about 75% capacity of the place.

This.
I was pleasantly surprised with the venue. Never been before. Of course it was hot, but by the time Mumford came on about 8:00 it wasn't terrible, and the breeze blowing in from the river helped.

they are musically talented, but their songs are sooooo repetitive and bland relaying on the same structure over and over and over again.
there's no edge to them at all. it's like coldplay to some degree.
i'd listen to coldplay over mumford and sons though

I like their "formula" and they're talented musicians. Same can't be said for Nickelback.
If they're the Nickelback of folk-rock, Aerosmith is the Nickelback of classic rock. I don't think anyone is claiming that Mumford is putting out world-changing stuff, but they're not nearly as bad as a lot of people on this board make them out to be.

I have up wasting my breath defending m&s! Lots of haters! I just know I would rather listen to them for two hours then phish
