Funny how some huge cheesy songs end the band's popularity. Foreigner's biggest hit was "I wanna know what love is" and it pretty much ended them.
My favorite band of all time...Aerosmith, hit is big with "Don't want to miss a thing" and really haven't done much since. They certainly never approached their early 90's greatness.

I agree. Sometimes great artists are victims of too much production. While I can't say much of it "unfortunate" or "cheesy" - there is a huge swath of Rush's catalog that is completely forgettable. The period from the debut album through Grace Under Pressure was epic, though.

Maybe so, but I really dislike that one.
My Humps would be another. And keeping with the Fergie theme, Fergilicious.
(And I think the BEP and Fergie, individually, are talented, especially considering many of their peers over the past 10 to 15 years - but, as you suggest, they have a number of unfortunate songs.)
