This was an artist that stayed in Alabama despite his opportunities and how it likely would've made his career explode had he moved to ATL, and he was murdered for it

Yep and T.I. signed him I think because he saw the potential but also knew where the kid came from and understood the lifestyle and tried desperately to get him out of it

I consider all living rappers pre-murdered. It's the period between ages 16 and 23 when they are rapping and breathing. It's a very short period, characterized by cluelessness and violence and then it suddenly ends. You may notice that the life cycle of musicians from other genres typically last as much as three and sometimes four times longer.

Yeah he was young though and like I said tons of potential Tip wanted to move him to ATL and take him under his wing
