Have you heard country music lately?

This is the correct response

Music as a whole is dead. But you could argue that rap and the music labels killed everything. For 20 yrs they injected rap into every fricking genre in existence and destroyed it

I skated to nothing but rap and punk in high school. Stuck with rap all through my 20s and 30s. I even listened to alot of what people called mumble in the last decade. But I knew I was mainly listening to high level production but artistically garbage. So in that way I viewed it as an extension of pop music

Realistically rap should have failed and faded by now. But we all know why that hasn't happened

I guess Rap died around the mid 2000’s? Maybe earlier?
the pinnacle to me was when no limit, cash money, bad boy and death row were at their peaks.

After that, it got cartoonish. It was cartoonish already, just became even more so.

Rap music was meaningful in the heyday of Tone Loc, LL Cool J and Salt 'n Pepa. What's produced in that genre today is mostly worthless and devoid of musical value and cultural significance.

There really isn't an emoticon to demonstrate the level of laughability in this comment. So many layers.

Also, mumble rap is garbage.

Look, if you had mom's spaghetti,
Would you capture it or just let it slip?
Yo
His palms spaghetti, knees weak, arms spaghetti
There's vomit on his sweater spaghetti, mom's spaghetti
He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm spaghetti to drop bombs,
But he keeps on spaghetti what he wrote down,
The whole crowd goes spaghetti
He opens his mouth, but spaghetti won't come out
He's choking how, everybody's joking now
spaghetti run out, time's up, over, bloah!
Snap back to spaghetti, Oh there goes spaghetti
Oh, there goes spaghetti, bloah
He's so mad, but he won't give up spaghetti, no.
