Mississippians and other blues enthusiasts: Where are the true crossroads?

I've read there are quite a few different locations that people say where Robert Johnson sold his soul. What do our posters from the Delta say? Any local stories passed down that you've been told?
US 61 and US 49 in Clarksdale

The official location is hwys. 61 at 49 at Clarksdale but the older folklore has it at hwys. 1 at 8 near Rosedale.

61 and 49 is close enough for you.
Plan a trip. Get a room at the Shack Up Inn. Investigate.

The official is Clarksdale, but Johnson's own song lyrics say Rosedale.

Serious question. What are some good places to drop in on if we travel up that way? Music or food.

Abe's BBQ.
Right at the Crossroads. At least the designated crossroads (49&61).
ETA: And Ground Zero Blues Club

Likely somewhere outside of Rosedale around Highway 1, though no one knows for sure.
Clarksdale has some cool stuff going on right now.
If you are there, you should stay at either the Shack Up Inn or at Seven Chimney's Farms (which is located by the old Stovall Plantation Mansion, which is the farm that Muddy Waters was born on).
Places to see, in no particular order:
- Cathead Blues Store;
- Miss Del's;
- Yazoo Pass (Restaurant);
- Ground Zero (Morgan Freeman's bar); and
- The Delta Blues Museum.
You can park downtown and walk to all of these without issue.

What are the chances of catching Morgan there?

My mom is from Clarksdale. I spent my summers playing at the pool at the country club. I heard things have gotten a little better and I hope that is true. Because about 10 years ago IT WAS BAD.

Drove through last week and it was still pretty bad. Source, I grew up in New Iberia.

My grandfather lived in Clarksdale when Robert Johnson went to the crossroads. He claims that it Rosedale was the original crossroads. According to my grandfather there was a bus stop near the 61 & 49 crossroads and that is where the blues musicians would hang around until they had enough money to continue up to Memphis or catch a bus to another delta town or wherever they were going. He said that it was in the 40s when the legion of Robert Johnson got associated with the 61 & 49 crossroads.
Disclaimer: The last time I talked blues, gospel, or any kind of music with my grandfather was in 2001 so I could have the details mixed up.

I have been to both multiple times.

Silly child,the devil don't care which crossroads,he gets around.
He will meet you,whichever one you choose.

The true blues crossroads are where "I lost all my money" and "I lost my woman" meet.
