Went last week. Wife and I went on Thursday. She flew home. I stayed back and hit the Saturday show too.

Amazing show. An absolute audio and visual explosion. Almost more of a visual show set to Metallica music,,, only Metallica is actually there playing.

Wife is a huge Taylor Swift fan (I don’t know … shrugs). She said this was way better than the two Swift shows she attended and that was her far and away #1 beforehand.

Set lists were bangers. As advertised, two completely different shows and no repeats between the two Thursday and Saturday shows. It was awesome, and tbh I’m jealous of the folks headed there tonight and this weekend.

Ha, they were Lightning, Masters, Justice, and Black album heavy.

They played Outlaw Torn from Load. I forgot how long that song was. Never thought I would hear that played live. It was really good and with the Sphere visuals with a whirlpool scene at the end.

Best video packages IMO were Ktulu, Creeping Death, Wherever I May Roam, Fuel, and Puppets.

Edit: and… One was a masterpiece

We went to the first 2 shows. The sound & visuals were amazing. Opening with Battery(Thursday) & Blackened(Saturday) was amazing. I’m more of a first four album type fan so 3 songs from the Load albums night 2 drug the set down for me. Just an incredible experience all around. The sound at the Sphere is unmatched.

Saw that . This is a nearly next to dead board

That thread was mostly about people talking about tickets and prices before concert dates were even released.

I was just trying to spark something with interested folks. If you’re offended, my apologies

Not offended. But we did turn to talk of the actual shows in the more recent posts.

Was there opening weekend. One of the best concert experiences of my life and I have been to a bunch over the years. The venue with its sound and visual effects is out of this world. Master of Puppets blew the doors off

As amazing as the screen is I found the sound more impressive.

I was there too. I thought it was good, not great. I really think they skimped on creativity for the visuals - even though they were reportedly $1M/song.

In the 200 level, I questioned the utility of the band even physically being there, as you had to remind yourself to look at them down below - even as the graphics weren't all that great. I'm going back in Jan and have snake pit, which I think will be much better.

Every creamed themselves over Ktulu graphics - I thought they were on the nose and stupid.

Master was just fields of crosses? Come on, guys.

Orion...and we don't get to see a night sky with stars or something? COME ON, GUYS

And why does everything have to be CGI/AI? Can there really be no live action portrayed? It always seems cheap to me.

I would drop the ultra-long tunes outside of Orion.

Highlight musically was Whiskey (despite arguably lamest graphics).

Highlight graphically was duo of Bells and One.

Need to pick better songs off of 72 and Hardwired.

Should replace Outlaw with Bleeding Me.

I didn't figure out until night 2 that - even with earplugs out - the sound is fantastic and loud but not ear-splitting. I walked by the mixing board on my way out and heard one of the mixers say something like "this is a bonkers room to have to mix for".

Damn , you’re a tough crowd. Convinced wife to go back again. She agreed. Either last week January or one of February dates. I’m going to get snake pit tickets one night. There looks to be lot of room in there to roam while band rotates around.

The good news is the snake pit is markedly smaller than normal.

The few times they've played it live I haven't been impressed because the production and Hetfield's voice on the album version is otherworldly. Kirk's solo from that song along with James' rhythm underneath is what made me beg my parents for a guitar in 11th grade and started a lifelong passion. I'm a 90s kid so we all grew up thinking 90s Metallica was the absolute shite. Guys, girls, everybody. The whole muh first 4 albums thing wears so thin on people that aren't fricking 60
