Minimalist. Recording these days you can go direct and get any sound you want. I mainly play my Hummingbird or D-28 these days, but when I plug in, I have a dream strat that I built using parts I selected myself, right down to the pick up screws, and a Korean Hamer Ecotone with T-Top pickups and RS Guitarworks controls.

Into a wacky 6L6 AMP I scraped together out of spare parts. On my board I have a tuner, a clean boost, a delay, and an overdrive. The boost and delay I built myself.

It's great fun and really satisfying. You know you have something one of a kind that's just the way you want it.

Not far behind you.

Epi Les Paul
Martin DSR-GC
Boss ME-50
Boss loop station
Orange 30R Crush series

I'm in the market for a PSR, but not really sure where to start. I don't want a base model because I want it to be something I can keep for a long time and eventually hand down to my kids and possibly appreciate in value in the long-run. Thinking to play anything from Frusciante-style on clean channel to Tool on the distortion channel. What's some suggestions?

Wish they had websites like they do now 20 years ago. Spend so much money on shite that I just didn't have the knowledge about.

Added a tubemeister36 to my setup. Love the clean sound. Running a eventide time factor in stereo to my tubemeister and fender deluxe. Sounds pretty damn awesome. Fuzz by noel cornet. If you haven't heard this thing check it out. I highly recommend if you got some jack to play with. Great vintage tone. Also picked up a jrs firefly. Good little pedal also but not as smooth as not much will be. Also picked up a ditto looper to play around with. Only problem is it's not stereo. I looked at a couple stereo but reviews were not great and I really don't have time to learn or use all the functions.
