I'm not a huge Manchester Orchestra fan. I don't mean that in the sense that I don't like their music. I just haven't listened to a whole lot of it. But I heard this song for the trailer to an upcoming film called "Leave No Trace," and I have to say I think this is a pretty good song. Anyway, what is everyone else's opinion on this song, and Manchester Orchestra?

I'm like you in that I haven't listened a bunch, but I like what I've heard. Andy Hull is apparently good friends with Casey Crescenzo and has worked with him a bunch on The Dear Hunter, which I'm a very big fan of. I would absolutely love to see Manchester Orchestra live, and I could probably even talk my wife into going.

The album that The Maze is off of (A Black Mile to the Surface) was one of my favorites of 2017.

I see MO announced some summer shows in Oxford, MS and Birmingham, hope they drop down to NOLA after that.
I saw them open for Brand New at UNO a few years ago and were legit.

all of their albums are really good and they are solid live. great lyrics and loud crunchy guitars.

I like Manchester Orchestra and that song. It's actually a little different than their usual, which is more uptempo and guitar oriented.
If you like that song, try this one:

I like their uptempo stuff too. Shake it Off is a great song.

I'm a huge fan of MO. I saw them open a few years ago for Brand New in New Orleans. That was the first time I was introduced to them and I've been hooked ever since. Cope and Mean Everything to Nothing are my two favorite albums. Hope to see them again soon for one of their shows and not just as an opener.
Simple Math, After the Scripture, and Apprehension are among their best songs.

"I Can Barely Breathe" and "Everything to Nothing" are probably my favorite MO songs.

I thought their last album "Black Mile to the Surface" was the best album of 2017 one of the best from start to finish I have heard in a while. It is a pretty dark album about generational suffering ranging from abuse, depression, suicide, and overall shitty quality of life from living in Lead, South Dakota. Black Mile Under the Surface is a phrase to working in the coal mines of SD. Once you hear the entire album a couple of times and see how the songs play on each other; you grasp the story he is telling which isn't pretty.
