Like A Prayer, Get Into The Groove, Borderline are all great songs.
She just got so big that it became about her rather than the songs. Hard to avoid when you have such a string of knockout hits.

A lot of her early hits were great dance songs and clearly are not the same without her interesting singing voice leading, then the 90s came and that all sort of disappeared until Ray of Light and Music became monster hits and revived her relevance to a degree
