Mac Miller's posthumous album is dropping next week and the first single is Good News.

I really enjoyed this track. The instrumental is light but the lyrics are powerful. It hit me hard.

Looking forward to listening to the full record. RIP Mac.

What do yall think of this track?

Gay and dicks were 2 out of 6 words in your sentence. I think you have some underlying desires to figure out.

Anyway, just listened to it straight through. The whole album feels like a cry for help. I can see why he was going to tour with a live band. This album would have perfect for that.

RIP Mac

This album is depressing and beautiful at the same time. Jon Brion knocked the production out of the park. I think Blue World is my favorite song so far.

I've listened to the album a few times now and that is the feeling it left me with as well. The production is great from start to finish. The record is emotional and reflective; hopeful and sad. It runs the whole spectrum and I really enjoyed that.

I did not care too much for the "hee hee oohhh oohh" over the top of the track on Blue World. It took away from Mac's vocals imo. Otherwise it is a great track.

My favorite tracks are Good News, Everybody, and Hands.

Overall, it is a great record and you can see Mac's progression as an artist. It is a shame he is gone now and we won't be getting any new music from him. This record was well done and pays respect to Mac's memory. RIP Mac.

I thought he was corny but never really gave him a chance until he died. Both Swimming and Circles are excellent.

It is all a matter of opinion but his early death shortened his discography and makes his impact feeler bigger in the moment. Time will tell on Mac and how well his music ages.

No. Here's an early song of his.

Donald Trump

He did change his style significantly over time, and this new record really isn't rap. It's much moodier and he does more singing with some of it being a little mumbly.

He definitely did not make his name mumble rap and I don't see this new project like that either.

no, but he did start out making frat rap. his progression through the years was awesome to watch. lyrics went from corny party shite (which I still enjoyed) to lyrics about life and emotion.

favorite song from each phase

Just My Imagination

Kool Aid and Frozen Pizza

I’ll Be There

Fight the Feeling Ft. Kendrick Lamar

Objects in the Mirror

What’s The Use

I wasn't a big fan of his before this last album except for the song Small Worlds.

But his last album has some really good songs, specifically Good News, Circles, Hand Me Downs, Complicated and Blue World.

It's been all downhill ever since his debut Blue SLide park album and his earlier mixtapes...

Does anyone know what song Mac is sampling on Ayye?

It’s on the deluxe version of K.I.D.S. that recently came out.

Was never a huge fan of rap music outside of a few artists, but I thought Mac was one of the best in current times. I'll check out his new album thanks for bringing this up.

It's a shame to hear how many problems he had and in the end it took his life. At least he's in a better place.
