Creates a very nostalgic/melancholic atmosphere where your mind starts building a story about the people that parked the white Toyota there and the dude staring at the light seems almost too much.

Only saw yo le tengo in the OP. So them .... Although Low is kind of similar .... Both bands i have listened to extensivley since so many people love them. Never did it for me. I know that will flumox fans... Not saying they are bad just that i dont love them.

Yeah that’s been one of my go to albums for years now, and one of my favorite songs. I can understand the above poster not digging the downtempo/slowcore style. It’s not for everyone, but if you do dig that kind of sound Low were the kings.

Im sure you’re aware of Galaxie 500, since it appears we have similar taste, but in case they’ve slipped past your radar check them out too.

ETA: And that yo la tengo album cover you posted is one of my favorites. Gregory Crewdson photo. He has a lot of surreal staged photos.

Ive really liked both bands, but I really have to be in the mood for Low these days...
