As huge of a Maynard fan as I am... I can see him possibly not making the list for most people.

I've seen Tool live a couple times and I agree. Their show isn't conducive to him being a "star".

ETA: Hell if anything, he's the antithesis of "rock star"

How in the Hell is Keith fricking Richards omitted from any "greatest rock star" list?

Had to make room for Billy Joe.

I like Green Day and grew up with them...in no way shape or form should he be anywhere near number 2.

How is Billy Joe Armstrong at # 2 especially in front of Freddie Mercury?

This. But this list was, more than likely, made to cause controversy.

BTW, have you listened to the new Green Day single that came out today?

Awful list. The only one I actually agree with is Hendrix at #1. MAYBE 2 of the others do I actually feel have an argument to belong on there.

I guess it's good to see that pretty much everyone on the music board can agree on at least one thing:
Billy Joe should not be on that list

Jerry Lee Lewis ?

Mick Jagger ?

Hell, even Kid Rock could be included.

None were more raucous than Janis Joplin !

I'd put Billy Joel on there before Billy Joe.

The fact that he is absent from this list COMPLETELY negates it from ANY credibility.

who made this list? they should be fired and banished from the industry, it's one thing to make a list that trolling, but this list is just not even beginning to be legit.

IMO, if you can't recognize them from just their last name, then they can't be on the list.
ie.: jagger, daltry, townsend, etc

Some may disagree with me here, but isn't being a rockstar on the level they are talking about here requiring some sort of 'don't give a shite' 'anti-society' 'anti-rules/regulations' mentality?

Lars and his reaction to Napster has ruined all of that for him. He is regulation, he is not rock and roll. And he can SUCK IT (crosses hands and motions hips)

My opinion as well, when I'm reading the list and some of them have an explanation of what band they were in...not top greatest.
