First, let’s do a top 5 song listing for Glenn & Co.:

1. Last Caress
2. Hybrid Moments
3. Attitude
4. Die, Die My Darling
5. Where Eagles Dare

Second, what bands are you into these days? I’ve grown partial to hardcore, maybe a little thrash thrown in. Some great albums of late:

Power Trip - Nightmare Logic
Restraining Order - The World is Too Much
Violent Reaction - Marching On

Never been a huge Misfits fan but I enjoy some of their stuff. I'd go with Last Caress, Mommy Can I Go Out and Kill Tonight, and Skulls.

Been listening to old Suffocation the last few nights. They're kind of hard core-ish, for a death metal band anyway.

20 Eyes, Attitude, Bullet, Angelfrick, Where Eagles Dare

Listening to Massgrav, Phobia, and Capitalist Casualties at the moment. The new Thou with all Nirvana covers is pretty crucial too. I like the Powertrip a lot. Waiting for those guys to follow up Hornets Nest with a full LP.

Absolutely their best.

Forbidden Zone is my runner up though. Great track that is often overlooked.

Now let's start a thread of all the Misfits shirt wearing bros that have no idea what any of these songs are

I could never get into them or The Cramps for some reason.

Then Suicidal Tendencies or DRI's Crossover album for some extra thrash.

I haven't gotten too deep into older stuff, mostly just well known albums from Minutemen, Wire, The Circle Jerks, Gang of Four, Bad Brains, Minor Threat. Such a wide-ranging genre.

If you want to get into crossover thrash, Suicidal Tendencies, DRI, and Corrosion of Conformity are all essential listening.

Might want to qualify the Corrosion of Conformity piece. I can just imagine someone wanting to rock some crossover and dialing up Stare to long.

That being said, Pepper era COC is one of my favorite bands of all time.

Good list. Don't forget Stooges,Ramones,New York Dolls,X, and Husker Du. Some of those probably not 100% punk though, which is fine by me; i'm not a purist.

999 is an über underrated band. Probably due to improve marketing in this country.

I'm okay with the Misfits. Not among my favorites in the genre though.

My top 5 favorite semi-obscure punk albums:
1. Squirrel Bait - S/T
2. Battalion Of Saints - Death R Us
3. Raw Power - Screams From The Gutter
4. Die Kreuzen - October File
5. Flipper - Gone Fishin'

Carotid plaquing keeps all thoughts from coming thru at once. Here’s another Houston based band:

Plastic Idols- Uncircumcised Twin
