Get him a LP kit and let him build his own.

The irony ... I am almost positive I read somewhere decades ago the reason Adam had a silverburst in the first place was it was all he could afford when he got it. 70s/Norlin Standards and Customs were the most affordable LPs (cheaper than their new counterpart) when the vintage craze was at peak in the 1990s ... and silverburst was the most affordable 70s/Norlin because it was at that time the least desirable color. I could have stockpiled stupid clean silverburst Customs in the 90s for under a grand each, nobody wanted them then. Goes to show you how one player can influence the market. Cobain did the same thing to 60s Mustangs in the 90s. Before he arrived and died, a grand could get you THREE vintage Mustangs.

have an Agile and it’s the single best bang for the buck out there. Big fan.

Agreed I have a 3010 whose previous owner was kind enough to put Slash Seymour Duncan’s in before I got it. It will always be a better guitar than I am player. Ebony, graph tech, and Grover tuners. Stuff that’d be on a high end LP.

I often wish I’d waited to get an Agile instead of jumping at buying that cheap arbor at an estate sale. Not long after I bought it and started trying to update it with new tuners and pickups, Agile came out with a guitar that had everything I wanted (and then some) for less than I paid after tricking it out.

If he joins a band it’s on!

Personal preference. Probably some things you like that I and others also feel is “fricking ugly”.

On that note, I’m partial to the tobacco colored bursts and deeper red PRSs.

I wonder how close the signatures really are - at one point he was so terrified of doing anything other than bare bones maintenance to it, because if something altered the sound, he would "be out of a job."

He must be over it by now, but the cats in that band are all uber strange in at least one way or another.

Just imagine, if he gets a van.. with a wizard painted on the sides of it..Might be too much pressure though.
