Thanks for posting this. I just logged in to do so myself.

I've enjoyed his music and style for decades. Many will remember him for his White Christmas in Home Alone.

I thought he was in his 60's back in the 80's.

I saw him at the Varsity in the mid/late 1980’s. They played a Patsy Cline CD as the opening act, I guess, and then Leon performed solo. Very entertaining. Sad news.

Wasn't it at the Chimes? Or maybe there were two different shows. He put on a good concert. Leo Kottke was another good one at the Chimes.

If you haven't heard this Christmas album, it's great. Always one of my go-to's in the Season.

I have several of his albums (cassettes and CDs) , but never got to see him in person. I had tickets to his concert in Asheville, NC in 2004, but he canceled because of health issues. May he RIP

I have an autographed ticket stub from one of his shows I attended in 1987. It was awesome.

My favorite Leon Redbone song - Sweet Mama (Papa's Getting Mad)

Edit to add...I used to play this one for my kids to put them to sleep - Prairie Lullaby
