It takes a special kind of sick to go after a 12yo. I do not believe it. He would have done it again and got busted. No, no way.

I think NY just opened the statue of limitations and had a flood of allegations.

I'm not surprised either, but people who deny Bob Dylan's talent are fools. He is one of the most influential musicians of all time.

yes absolutely, but with all due respect this "most influential musician of..." poses the question, "SO WHAT?"

I like music - I have a half dozen Dylan albums - but really in the overall scheme of things - so what!

music is music and sure its an enjoyable pastime but it means little to nothing whether Bob Dylan or Curt Cobain or Jimi Hendrix or Janis Joplin or Jim Morrison or James Hetfield or James Brown or Neil Young or Marvin Gaye or Al Green or Amy Winehouse or or or or or or

It's just conversation. You're right. It doesn't matter. And like I said in the begining, this doesn't surprise me either.

And at your list there. All great musicians but it's funny seeing James Hetfield's name immediately followed by James Brown.

Negative!
I DGAS about "the quantity of drugs that went through his system". If he raped a 12y/o .... CHARGE HIM IN THE 1960's .... not half a century later.

That's what I said but didn't say it, I guess.

District Attorney - "Mr. Dylan, do you recall molesting this young girl?“

Bob Dylan - "Meh stuba da beechin da budin. Cause we algosta bocga marudin."

DA - "I'm sorry, what was that you said?“

BD -" Heyyyy, posni cabrino meehojus. The colors clrote danidodum.“

DA - "I don't know what the frick he's talking about!"

Nobody does.

Reminds me of Eddie Murphy's bit about James Brown.

No surprise. Very overrated singer too. More nasally that Willie Nelson.

James Brown was classic - and assaulted/molested more than a few women...

I really liked Bob Dylans Murder So Foul Album - Blake Mills helped produced it (also produced Alabama Shakes, some kids who used to live down the road from me) and played superb guitar on it. Dylan owes him. Dylan has an album released in 8 consecutive decades now.

I found the Jason Isbell conversation of a few days ago interesting, but think music belongs on Page 20+ of the newspaper.

By extension I also think that we have placed too much emphasis on music, movies/acting, internet, games...

Our culture does not delve into serious things generally speaking any more like it did generations past - I dont blame people but it is a bizarre time we live in...

Did you ever see that video of James Brown being interviewed the day after he beat the hell out of his wife? The domestic violence isn't funny, but the video itself was hilarious.

"Why did you do that to your wife?"

"Heh, this is a man's world, baby."

I too..was sexually abused by Bob Dylan in 1965

You know I'm sure that this woman probably thinks, like a lot of people seem to, that Dylan is some drug addled drooling zombie who is an easy mark, but Dylan is sharp as a tack, even at 80. He will chew this woman up and spit her out in court. Back at that time, he did live at the Chelsea Hotel, that much is true, but he was constantly on the road performing and in the studio recording. His time was stretched as thin as any person's could be, not to mention he had thousands of women who would do anything he wanted, anytime, plus he had a live in girlfriend.

Not that I doubt Mr Tambourine Man did something like this, but why the frick did it take over 50 years to become charges if so?

Dylan recently sold his entire music catalog for $300 million, that would probably pull some people looking for a payday out of the woodwork.

I always wondered where Blaise Ford ran off to. I bet this "J.C." does not remember who.what, where or when these assaults happened, but is willing to go away for a few million of Dylan's dollars.
